Chelsea King

The parents of San Diego County teenager Chelsea  King have filed with the California Victim Compensation plus Government Claims Board, a possible precursor to seeking compensation for the murder of their daughter. Kelly plus Brent King

The parents of slain Poway teenager Chelsea King filed paperwork with the California Victims Compensation plus Government Claims Board, that makes payments to crime victims, it was announced Friday.

Chelsea King "will be alive today" had the Poway teen's killer been returned to prison for parole violations, but a state agency "failed in its duty plus didn’t act," according to a compensation claim filed by her parents plus obtained

In early March 2010, Chelsea King, a 17-year-old girl from San Diego County, disappeared while she went for a run. She was found dead in a shallow grave several days after she went missing. Chelsea was a “straight-A” senior at Poway
