Gordon Ramsay died At 39:Kitchen Nightmares Chef Joseph Cerniglia, 39, was found dead Sept. 24 in the Hudson River in New York after reportedly jumping off the George Washington Bridge. His death was officially ruled a suicide by the Medical Examiner’s Office in New York. But along with the terrible news, many people are reflecting on a 2007 episode of FOX’s Kitchen Nightmares in which Gordon Ramsay told Joseph his business was to “swim across the Hudson River.”
Certainly not the best choice of words, but Gordon could not have predicted what would take place three years later.
Joseph, who was the owner of Campania Restaurant New Jersey, said it was about $ 80,000 in debt at the time of the taping – and his family were concerned about how she was handling the pressure.
