Heidi Montag’s plastic surgeon, Dr. Frank Ryan, was reportedly tweeting a message about his dog before his fatal car crash.
People magazine quotes Ryan’s purported ex-girlfriend, publicist Charmaine Blake, as saying, “He lived up in Malibu on a tiny street and he was texting while driving and he accidentally went over the cliff.”
The magazine reports Blake said “Ryan’s family was told by investigators that the Tweeting caused the wreck on Monday.”
People also notes, “The California Highway Patrol confirms Ryan was texting before the crash, but investigators have not officially determined the cause of the accident.”
However, when Gossip Cop reached out to the still-in-shock Blake, she said, “I didn’t say that.”
Blake said she hasn’t been able to verify that information yet, but was instead told by a “famous celebrity” that “texting” may have caused the accident.
Gossip Cop also reached out to a California Highway Patrol spokesman but has yet to receive a response.
Earlier today, a “devastated Montag tweeted that Dr. Ryan “was the most amazing person I have ever known. He was an angel and changed my life and the lives of everyone he met.”
