Kings of Leon Turned Down Glee?

WHAT?!?
Kings of Leon bassist Jared Followill told British music magazine NME the group turned down a request for their music to appear on FOX’s hit show Glee. According to Followill, he’s never even seen the show but “apparently everybody loves it.” Yeah, duh. Try to keep up with the times, Followill.
Britney Spears on Glee?
Apparently, the rock group “turns down stuff constantly.” One of their hit songs was even sought after for a film. Followill said:
“We had some people call us up wanting to know if we’d allow ‘Use Somebody’ to appear. Next day, they called back and tried to put us through to the star of the movie — I won’t name names, but he’s an incredibly famous actor — to let him try and convince us to agree to do it. I was like, ‘Man, don’t even waste your energy.’”
I understand not wanting your music all over the place, I guess. But the way he said “don’t waste your energy” really rubs me the wrong way. Try not to be such a douche about it next time.
