Fantasy Football Rankings: Running Backs The Big Lead
At the end of last season, TBL published results from an inaugural report that examined the accuracy of preseason fantasy football rankings from seven web.
Consider these rankings as your guide. Here&8217;s how it works: The running back rankings below &8211; and in subsequent posts to follow &8211; are determined by the average rank among the dozen sites recorded. The idea follows closely the Wisdom of Crowds model: By balancing insights of a large sample size of analysis, the overall rankings will represent a more consistently accurate assessment of player value.
One caveat: Don&8217;t use these rankings if you&8217;re looking for tips on busts or aleepers. While there are plenty of such predictions contained within, some of the individual web site the average of all picks generally neutralizes the outlying ranks for a player.
The best way to use these rankings are through the tiers which illustrate the relative distance in value between ranks amongst a group of players. The drop-off in value from one player to the next-ranked player is not always proportional. The average rank of each player helps to highlight the disparity of such value.
