LimeRa1n Beta 3 Now Available

We recently reported that Geohot has released the latest untethered jailbreak called Limera1n for iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPad, iPod touch 3G and iPod touch 4G for all versions of the iOS 4.x (iOS 4.0, 4.1 and future versions)
The jailbreak is currently available only for Windows users however, the Mac and Linux versions will be released soon. The current version of Limera1n is still a beta release and Geohot recently updated the change log which fixes some of the initial issues being faced by users:
BETA1 – first release
BETA2 – fixed kernel patching magic, rerun BETA2+ over BETA1
BETA3 – fixed new bootrom 3GS
The latest version of Limera1n also exposes new known issues:
need to restart to get the Cydia icon to show up after installing Cydia
some people still don’t have windows
beta iOS versions aren’t supported
uninstall in limera1n app doesn’t work, you can just delete the blackra1n.app directory, i need regression testing
iPod Touch 2G support coming soon
for 3G, use redsn0w
limera1n app is a white box, i know. use it anyway
Greenpois0n was expected to release today but now The Dev Team plans to implement Limera1n exploit into Greenpois0n and this could take longer than expected which could result in further delay.
Users are already reporting success with jailbreaking their device using Limera1n. Since the released version is still a bit unstable so you might want to wait for a stable version or get the Greenpois0n jailbreak tool when it is made available.
