Mole Day

The people that have studied chemistry in school must be familiar with the word mole, if not then let’s take a recap; it is a measurement for calculation of the amount of substance actually in terms of atoms. All the people who hated chemistry and still hate it would jump off their feet when we tell them that on 23rd of this month a special Mole Day is held in order to commemorate this special unit. The number that was proposed by Avagadro and thus termed as Avagadro number actually means a big number and anything having that quantity is called as one mole of the substance. Mole Day is commemorated in order to educate the humans about the fun that is gained by science and if we take some interest it is quite likeable to learn and work with huge numbers.
There is something actually unique about the Mole Day when it is compared to other events and it is that the day is celebrated between 6.02 in the morning till 6.02 in the evening and it means that it’s not even for twenty four hours. Some schools celebrated the day on the 20th and it was really against the tradition but taking a look at the children’s fun we can say that they were going to miss all that on the 23rd as it is going to be Saturday. Mole cakes, mole-nuts and some other delights that have got the word mole in them were present in one of the schools.
