Ricardo Antonio Chavira

Ricardo Antonio Chavira:Ricardo Antonio Chavira is an American actor, perhaps best known for his role as Carlos Solis on Desperate Housewives.
Chavira has two children, Tomas Antonio Chavira (born 2003) with a partner Marcea Dietzel, who gave birth to her second child, a daughter Belen Elysabeth Chavira (b. July 28, 2008). Couple together for 18 years when they decided to marry on Sept. 22, 2007 in a small ceremony at their San Antonio, Texas home. Chavira was in his pajamas.
Chavira was born in Austin, Texas, Bexar County judge’s son, Juan Antonio Chavira. Grew up in San Antonio, Texas, he graduated from Robert E. Lee High School, now the Performing Arts School and the University of the Incarnate Word. He ’00 UC, San Diego graduate and received a Master of Fine Arts in acting from a professional actor UC San Diego’s training program in 2000 and moved to Los Angeles shortly thereafter. Since then he has worked in film, television and theater.
Film credits include Touchstone in Alamo. Television credits to Desperate Housewives include a series regular role on the Grubbs, the role on Six Feet Under and division, and the role of guest stars on Joan of Arcadia, Kingpin, a monk (episodes, Mr. Monk Visits Farm and Mr. Monk, one hundredth case) 24 and JAG, as well as NYPD Blue and two other Steven Bochco series, Philly and City of Angels. He also guest-starred in the George Lopez ABC and the CW Tyra Banks Show.
Chavira starred in a production of Tracers at the Odyssey Theatre in Los Angeles and also starred in the joint production of life Out. Since 2004, Chavira starred in Desperate Housewives. He plays Gabrielle Solis (played by Eva Longoria Parker) husband Carlos.
Chavira plays Stanley Kowalski in the production of the Guthrie Theatre of Tennessee Williams’ Streetcar Named Desire, July 3-August 21, 2010 in Minneapolis.  He also appears in “3D Piranha”, as Sam
Chavira is a supporter of Breast Cancer Research, as his mother, Elizabeth Rice, Chavira, died of breast and ovarian cancer when she was 43 years.
Chavira is a proud representative of San Antonio to the charity Susan G. Komen for the Cure, and last June served as captain for the Race for the Cure in Washington, DC Chavira was in 2005 with a representative of Lee National Denim Day breast cancer collection funds.
